I’ve got a case of the Monday’s.

Sorry for coming atchya with such a late blog post but today was just well…a Monday. My day just started off crappy.  My apartment complex lacks adequate parking which leaves me to park on the street and whatdya know, my car gets broken into.  What a way to start my day, no?  I’ve had experience with car burglars before.  Last November my car was also broken into while I played soccer with my friend Daniel at my old high school.  Cars and I don’t do to well. I spent the morning rushin around, cancelling credit cards, calling the DMV…you know all the fun stuff that goes along with getting your car broken into.  But, never fear my day got a little bit better when I decided to treat myself to a mani pedi! In the spirit of October 1st and what I consider to be the first official day of fall I went with the traditional deep purple…Do you coordinate nail polish colors with the season?  It might be my slight OCD but I always do.  I always find myself choosing deep colors in fall, pastels in spring and bright neons in summer. Maybe my fall colored nails will bring fall weather?  Seriously though it was 86 today! When am I going to get my cold weather!  Today was also my day off which meant a lunch date with my friend Camille, you know the one from Go Fest.  I crave sushi like nobody’s business.  I’m honestly horrified by the thought that I will not be able to indulge in it when I’m pregnant (in the very far future of course.)  I had the  hot night roll which is basically, if you’re knowledgeable in the sushi category, a crunch roll with spicy tuna on top.Yummy in my tummy! Just looking at this picture makes me want another one!
I’m so glad I’m back to my normal gym routine.  It’s crazy how much I actually missed working out while I was sick.  I guess once you get into a workout routine and then have to take an unscheduled week off it throws your body for a loop.  Tonight on the training schedule was stretch and strengthen.  I started out on elliptical for 10 minutes but got annoyed/bored when I realized Monday Night Football was playing on the TV’s above the treadmills.  I took initiative and decided it was time for a run so I could catch the end of the Cowboys Bears game.  I ran a mile which equaled 10 minutes because I didn’t want to run to far tonight because I have a three mile run tomorrow I then moved downstairs for 10 minutes on the stair master.  I just couldn’t get focused on a machine tonight, I was all over the place.  After my 30 minutes of cardio I moved to the Group X room for some circuit training.  Because I am clearly the worlds biggest clutz I tripped as I walked into the room and ate it in front of everyone in there, which I personally think was a high number of people for a Monday night.  The Monday’s strike again.  My circuit workout was quick and got me extra sweaty.  It looked like this:

50 Jumping Jacks
20 alternating lunges
10 squat jumps
20 squats
10 burpees (death)
60 sec jump rope
20 second mtn climbers
25 pushups
75 crunches
50 leg lifts

Repeat that three times and you’ve got yourself a super sweaty circuit workout! I’m about to hop in the shower and then get to bed early.  I’m hoping tomorrow is a MUCH better day than today.  Happy first week of October y’all 🙂
